Review: Talented by Sophie Davis

I don’t know how to feel about this book.

I did not love it and yet I read the entire saga in a week.

Talented was one of those books that you read because of the romance. I feel that if you took out Erik and Talia, the story would fall slightly flat.

The biggest struggle I had while reading this series was the grammatical errors. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that it is hard to edit a book, but some of the errors I found were simple ones. Another fault that I had was that the plot felt like it revolved around the romance. I love the romance aspect of the story, but it usually overshadowed the main plot. Finally, I disliked how stupid Talia was at times. Donovan was a jerk and she still had trouble when choosing who to love.

Despite the dislikes, I enjoyed the characters. Sophie made me fall in love with certain aspects of all the characters in her series. Also, Sophie does improve the story as you read further into the saga. Finally, I love Sophie’s creativity when assigning the powers and how they were created.

Overall, I give this book a 3.5/5 stars and would recommend to people who read solely for romance.
